Cowboys to be featured
on reality-based TV show
IRVING, Texas (AP)
- The Dallas Cowboys will allow cameras an all-access look at
their training camp for the second installment of a sports-based
reality show on HBO.
"Hard Knocks:
Training Camp with The Dallas Cowboys," will debut July
31. Last summer's version on the Baltimore Ravens was widely
popular for the cable network.
A 16-person crew
from NFL Films will live at the Cowboys' training camp this summer,
shooting more than 700 hours of video. Camera and sound crews
will be given unlimited access to the players and coaches in
meeting rooms, training rooms, dormitories and practice fields
when the Cowboys report to camp in July.
The show run on
consecutive Wednesday nights through the six-week series' finale
Sept. 4.
Third-year coach
Dave Campo will have a mix of veteran players, free agents and
rookie hopefuls in camp this summer. The Cowboys are coming off
consecutive 5-11 seasons.
