CONROE, Texas (AP) - Conroe Independent School District's former superintendent and chief financial
officer have reached a confidential settlement with two district employees who claimed they had been
sexually harassed.
Nicole Segura, 33, and Shannon Weaver, 25, sued former district superintendent David Lusk and chief
financial officer Brian Miller in May. The lawsuit charged the men with constant sexual harassment of
the women, The Conroe Courier reported over the weekend.
Lusk resigned abruptly the month before the lawsuit was filed. His contract was bought out by district
trustees for $223,000, the newspaper reported.
Both women resigned from the district on Thursday, a day after the lawsuit was settled.
"All I know is they resigned for personal and professional reasons," Jean Stewart, the district's deputy
superintendent, told the newspaper.
Neither Lusk's nor Miller's attorneys could be reached for comment by The Associated Press on
Sunday.
