Ballinger 14, Midland Greenwood 13

MIDLAND - Ballinger held on to edge Midland Greenwood, 14-13, when Jarred Moore missed a 35-yard extra-point attempt after an excessive celebration penalty following a Greenwood touchdown.

Ballinger led 14-0 going into halftime thanks to TD runs by Joe Jalomo and Cesar Martinez. But the Rangers rallied with touchdown runs by Wes Smith and Adam Dorner.

Dorner's 40-yard scoring run cut Ballinger's lead to 14-13 with 1:16 remaining; however, the officials called Greenwood for excessive celebration after Dorner's run, and Moore could not convert the PAT attempt.
