Plainview 34, Big Spring 18

LUBBOCK -- Plainview jumped out to a 21-0 lead at halftime, increased its lead to 34-0 after three quarters and cruised to a 34-18 victory over Big Spring Friday.

The Bulldogs used three big plays in the middle quarters to stake a commanding lead.

After two shorts runs put the Bulldogs ahead 14-0, Rod Ansley scampered in from 21 yards with just over six minutes to play before halftime to give Plainview a 21-0 lead.

Peter Gonzales made it 28-0 when he broke free from 38 yards out early in the third period. Brandon Brotherton hooked up on a pass with Reggie Brooks for 31 yards to give the Bulldogs a 34-0 advantage with just under a minute to play in the third.
