STANTON -- Stanton's back on track.

A week after losing to Seagraves, losing their 22-game winning streak and losing their No. 1 state ranking, the Buffaloes stampeded Coahoma 46-14 here Friday night.

Stanton now is 7-1 overall and 2-1 in District 3-2A play. Coahoma is 2-6 and 0-3.

Kyel Herm threw two short touchdown passes to Maurice Martinez, a 45-yarder to Austin Kelly and ran back a punt 69 yards, one of two punt returns for TDs for the Buffaloes. Jeremy Hull scored the game's first touchdown on a return.

Down 46-0, Coahoma scored twice in the second half on Blake Nichols' 67-yard run and Mario Garcia's 10-yard dash.

Stanton had only 261 total yards to 305 for Coahoma
