Eastland 34, Dublin 8

EASTLAND -- Justin Justice ran for three touchdowns and passed for another as Eastland downed Dublin, 34-8 in District 7-3A action.

Justice put the Mavericks (3-5) ahead to stay with a 10-yard touchdown strike to Kevin Mangum with 1:47 left in the first. Dublin (2-6) struck back just seconds later on a safety by Landon Stone, but Justice scored the next three touchdowns as the Mavericks opened up a close game.

Justice's 11-yard touchdown run gave Eastland a 13-2 lead at the break, then had scoring runs from 30 and 1 yards in the third quarter that extended the lead to 26-2. The 1-yard run was set up by a 98-yard interception return from Jeremy Orshagh.

Andy Hicks returned another interception 78 yards for a score early in the fourth quarter for a 34-2 Mavericks lead. Dublin finished the scoring on a Jeremy Jennings 10-yard scoring strike to Alonzo Briseno with 7:55 left.
