Midland High 56, El Paso Austin 7

MIDLAND -- Shemond Davis rushed for 224 yards and two touchdowns as the Bulldogs demolished El Paso Austin Friday, 56-7.

Davis, who averaged 10.5 yards per carry, had touchdown runs of 40, 33 and 4 yards for Bulldogs.

Midland High ran to a 21-0 lead before Austin scored on Jarrod Redmond's eight-yard run. Redmond rushed for 86 of the Panthers 117 yards rushing on the night.

The Bulldogs then followed with 35 second half points to put the game away.
