Roscoe 20, Roby 7

ROSCOE -- Roddy Alexander ran, passed and kicked the Roscoe Plowboys to a 20-7 victory over the Roby Lions in a District 12-A contest here Friday.

After the teams were deadlocked, 7-7, at halftime, Alexander ran for a two-yard TD in the third period and threw a four-yard TD pass to Jeremy Williams with 5:07 left in the game to ice the victory.

Adrian Aguilar opened the scoring for the Plowboys with a 30-yard run with 5:15 left in the first period. Alexander booted the PAT.

Roby tied it up with only two seconds left on the halftime clock when Jeremy Griffth caught a 34-yard pass from Wes Pullig. Kyle McWilliams booted the tying PAT.

Alexander put Roscoe ahead to stay with the two-yard TD with 4:07 remaining in the third quarter.

Roscoe is now 6-2 for the year and 3-0 in district. Roby drops to 0-3 in district.
