Feb. 28 -- Hardin-Simmons splits baseball doubleheader: Robbie Schwab's two-run double triggered a four-run third inning, and Cody Gohlke tossed a complete-game three-hitter as Hardin-Simmons University earned a split of an American Southwest Conference baseball doubleheader Friday with a 9-2 victory at Hunter Field.

Abilene Christian University defeated Midwestern State for the third time in women's basketball this season, downing the Lady Indians, 83-62, Thursday night in the semifinals of the Lone Star Conference tournament at Moody Coliseum.
