June 30 -- Big
Spring's Mitchell is as fast as everyone thought (Bill Hart):
There are always critics of a good
sprinter's times, and no one probably had his performances questioned
as much as Tory Mitchell of Big Spring did last spring. Twice
he was timed under 10 seconds for the 100 meters, which is rare
for any high school runner. Sure, they were hand timed and run
with the wind to his back. Those are the main reasons people wonder
about a track time.

field goal kicker.

first time this season on Tuesday night, but he wasn't gone long.

Plains splits with Windthorst, sets up deciding game: MINERAL WELLS - Jarad Richards was tired, but he

at Howard College's Jack Barber Field. Green now has an 8-0 record
this season.

Orioles and the New York Yankees, I just can't help myself.
June 1 -- Wylie
Bulldogs play Kermit tonight in semis: SNYDER
- Wylie coach Clay Martin believes his Bulldogs are peaking at
the right time. If so, that may be bad news for the remaining
competition in Region I-3A.
June 1 -- Prairie
Dogs claim disputed win: Barry
Takahashi epitomizes the term "utility player". Used
as a pitcher in two games thus far, manger Barry Jones inserted
Takahashi as the designated hitter Sunday night in the series
finale with Rio Grande Valley. The lefthander responded with a
bases-loaded double in the bottom of the sixth to lead the 'Dogs
to a 5-3 comeback victory before a sparse crowd of at Crutcher
Scott Field.
