reserve DALLAS (AP) -- The Dallas Stars on Friday announced they've
activated defenseman Derian Hatcher from the NHL injured reserve
list. The Stars also sent defenseman Sergey Gusev back to the Michigan
K-Wings, their minor league affiliate in the International Hockey
League. The team expected Hatcher to play Friday night at home against
Carolina. The 25-year-old Hatcher had arthroscopic surgery on his right
knee March 4 after injuring it during a game in Chicago three
days earlier. In 55 games this season, he has six goals and 20
assists for 26 points. He also has 100 penalty minutes. The Stars recalled Gusev, 22, from the minor leagues March
16 to play against Los Angeles and San Jose this week. He has
no points in nine games with the Stars this season. He has three
goals and five assists for eight points in Michigan.
