Southwest Texas names interim athletic director

SAN MARCOS, Texas (AP) - Dana Craft, longtime associate director of athletics at Southwest Texas State University, has been named interim director of athletics while a search is underway to replace Michael Alden.

"I am excited we have someone with Dana's experience, knowledge and vision to serve the department as acting director," Vice President James Studer said Monday.

Craft is beginning her 17th year as associate director of athletics and her 22nd year on staff.

She will handle day-to-day operations while a search is underway to replace Michael Alden, who left to be director of athletics at the University of Missouri.
