Haskell and Snyder FFA advance teams to state

BIG SPRING - Haskell FFA won first in radio competition at
the Area II FFA Leadership Contests at Howard College on Saturday
and Snyder FFA nailed three contests.
There are 94 schools in Area II.
The Haskell and Snyder teams now will advance to the FFA State
Leadership Contests at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville
Members of the top Haskell radio team are Bree Burgess, Amanda
Rapp and Paula Harvey.
Snyder qualified three first-place teams for state in FFA creed,
junior chapter conducting, and ag issues forum.
Riley Tatum won the FFA creed speaking for Snyder.
The Snyder junior chapter conducting team is comprised of Ben
Caldwell, Dana Stribling, Nikki Guerrero, Missy Hicks, Will Henderson,
Missy French, Julie Dooley, Martha Rivera and Tatum.
Snyder's ag issues forum team is made up of Laurie Huddleston,
Amy Church, Brandon Williamson, Tommy Gordon, Johnna Ferris and
Although Anson FFA didn't quality a first-place team for state,
Anson did make a strong showing with five third-place teams in
the Area II contests.
