Cowboys sign 18 free agents

IRVING, Texas (AP) - The Dallas Cowboys signed 18 free agents
to contracts Thursday and scheduled them for workouts at the
rookie minicamp this weekend.
With the signings, the defending Super Bowl champions have 81
players on the roster, 77 of them under contract.
The NFL allows teams to have 80 players under contract when training
camp opens in July.
Free agents signed Thursday by the Cowboys, all rookies except
where specified:

- Mark Harris, wr, Stanford.
- Mike Harrison, dt, North Carolina St.
- Errick Herrin, lb, Southern Cal.
- Rob Higbee, te, Delaware.
- Tony Hutson, g, NE Okla. St.
- Kerry Mock, lb, North Carolina.
- Harold Morrow, fb, Auburn.
- Buster Owens, cb, Georgia.
- Jarvis Perry, rb, Rowan.
- Reggie Reser, cb, Washington.
- Scott Semptimphelter, qb, Lehigh.
- Jason Shelley, wr, Central St., Ohio.
- Haywood Simmons, de, Wisconsin.
