Are You Ready For Some Football?

By GARY MORRIS / Guest Column

Only About Two Weeks To Go:

While some fans will get to follow what happens at Training Camp more than others, this is one fan who is very glad he bought a "big dish" satellite about 10 years ago.

This season will be one more season that I hope to see not only "all" of the pre-season games on my satellite dish, but training camp highlights as well. Last year I was able to watch either a half an hour or an hour of the "Taining Camp '96" show up on the big disk every weekday. Not to mention the "Bill Bates Show", the "Darren Woodson Show", the "Barry Switzer Show and the "Jerry Jones Show" once a week. Two years ago I also got to see the "Troy Aikman Show" once a week, but last year he didn't have one or at least I couldn't find it on the "dish".

For those of you that have not been aware of the "neat" side of having a satellite dish, ....the Cowboys have their own production team and their own TV network called "The Silver Star" Network and they produce and show the "Blue & White" scrimmiage, and most, if not all, of the preseason games and put them up on the satellite for broadcast back to the Dallas Ft. Worth area.

Well if you are a home dish owner and send a letter to the Cowboys stating such, you will be authorized to watch your 'Boys O-F-T-E-N.

This year I will be posting the Satellite information on my web site at "http:/www.jps.net/garywm"....so if you happen to spend the $500 for a used dish or the $1,000 to $2,000 for a new dish, you will be glad you did because you will be able to see shows that usually are only available to the Dallas Texas Market.

One of the small dishes also carried Training Camp '96, the Bill Bates Show and the Darren Woodson Show last year but not the Barry Switzer Show or the Jerry Jones Show.

So...stay tuned to my web site if your interested, or e-mail me for more information.

Oh, by-the-way the rumor mill has Michael showing up at the training facility and working out. Something that hints that he is indeed getting ready to make an announcement VERY SOON that he will be at camp when it opens.

Also LaFluer's agent is trying to say his client is worth more than the spot he was picked because he will be a starter for the Cowboys. So let me see, that means that the other picks in the first round will NOT Start for their teams? Come on now, get real...the 22nd pick is worth 22nd pick money plus 5%, no more, no less.
