Jones to Turner: worry about your team

IRVING, Texas (AP) - Dallas owner Jerry Jones says Washington coach Norv Turner should have more to do than worry about who stands on the sidelines.

Turner, who used to be the Cowboys' offensive coordinator, complained Monday that the Cowboys should have been penalized when Jones stepped briefly on the field Sunday to protest a pass interference call during a 17-14 win over the Redskins.

"If anyone believes that my presence on the sidelines had a bearing on the outcome of Sunday's game then I'm flattered," Jones said in a statement issued Tuesday. "But we all know that wasn't the case.

"I do, however, understand Norv's frustration. I know that he compared Sunday's game to our loss at RFK in 1992. And those are the types of losses that can linger for a few days. We were on the same side for that one, and I know how much we all hurt after that game.
