Teague and Boniol win NFL awards

NEW YORK (AP) - Running back Natrone Means of the Jacksonville
Jaguars and safety George Teague and kicker Chris Boniol of the
Dallas Cowboys are the offensive, defensive and special teams
Players of the Week for the NFL wild card playoff games, the league
said on Tuesday.
Means rushed for 175 yards and one touchdown on 31 carries
as the expansion Jaguars defeated Buffalo 30-27. Teague had four
tackles, returned an interception 29 yards for a touchdown and
forced two fumbles in Dallas' 40-15 victory over Minnesota. Boniol
kicked field goals of 28, 31, 22 and 25 yards, stretching his
streak to 31 consecutive field goals.
Other nominees were running backs Emmitt Smith of Dallas and
Jerome Bettis of Pittsburgh on offense; end Clyde Simmons of Jacksonville,
linebacker Chad Brown of Pittsburgh and tackle Bryant Young of
San Franciason on defense; and punter Bryan Barker of Jacksonville
on special teams.
