By the Associated Press
(Oct. 3, 1996)
IRVING, Texas (AP) - The Dallas Cowboys on Wednesday released
tight end Derek Ware.
Ware signed as a free agent this year as the Cowboys struggled
to find a replacement for Jay Novacek, who is attempting to rehabilitate
from a back injury.
Ware played in five games for Dallas and caught one pass, for
5 yards.
The Cowboys' roster had 49 players after the move.
