Officers elected Monday night

The West Central Texas Oil & Gas Association elected officers
Monday night during the group's annual membership meeting, barbecue
and golf tournament.
Members selected people for seven executive positions and 15
positions on the board of directors by unanimous vote.
Those chosen to serve in an executive and administrative position
are:
-- President: Bill Core, Abilene.
-- Vice president: Curt McClymond, Breckenridge.
-- Vice president: Bob Jones, Abilene.
-- Vice President: John Stearns Jr, Abilene.
-- Vice President: Greg Pitzer, Breckenridge.
-- Treasurer: Randy Spiva, Abilene.
-- Executive vice president: Morris Burns, Abilene.
Those chosen to serve three-year terms on the oil & gas
association's Board of Directors are: Roy "Hoss" Allen,
Dave Bashford, Ray Brazzel, John Cook, Bill Cree, Micheal Connolly,
Fred Gerlach, Jay Hayhurst, Joe Hoff, David Holley, Harry Reaugh,
Scott Taliaferro Jr and S. Craig Young, all of Abilene.
Other board members from around the Texas Midwest elected Monday
were B.A. Jolley of Sweetwater and Michael Thornton of Breckenridge.
New officers will be installed at the West Central Texas Oil
& Gas Association's spring meeting. The executive committee
is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Association.
Those elected to board of directors positions in the oil organization
will begin serving their terms in February of 1998. The board
is responsible for major policy decisions.
