Carl E. Olson, 61, of Abilene died Saturday at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Allen-Korzenewski Funeral
Home Chapel, 1443 N. 2nd, with Sidney Martin and Dale Suel officiating.
Burial with military honors will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Olson was born in Whitinsville, Mass., and moved to Abilene
in 1977. He was a Vietnam War veteran of the Air Force and retired
as a senior master sergeant. He was a Baptist. He married Samniang
Satlert in 1973 in Thailand.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; three sons, Nitas Olson
of Amarillo, Nitipol Olson of Las Vegas, Nev., and Mark Allen
Olson of Lydia, S.C.; three daughters, Pumari of Abilene, Somthavil
Worakanyapsilai of Las Vegas and Holly Howe of Marion, S.C.; two
brothers, Philip Eric Olson of Uxbridge, Mass., and Bruce George
Olson of Whitinsville; one sister, Marilyn Smith of Haines City,
Fla.; and 10 grandchildren.
Hilda Florence Kellerman
GORMAN - Hilda Florence Kellerman, 74, died Sunday at an Abilene
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Gorman Cemetery
with Craig Rhoton officiating, directed by Higginbotham Funeral
Mrs. Kellerman was born in New Jersey and was a retired nurse
and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Margaret Montgomery of Florida,
Hilda Trimble of Cactus, Eileen Latham of Ohio and Joyce Cordell
of Gorman; one son, Richard Kellerman Jr. of Weatherford; two
brothers, Clifton Stillwell of Woodbury, N.J., and James Taylor
of Pamona, N.Y.; two sisters, Margret Call of Cacasocky, N.Y.,
and Glendlories Pitt of Pamona; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
BROWNWOOD - Mickey Hooks, 50, of Temple died Saturday in Lake
Charles, La., after a traffic accident.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Davis-Morris Funeral Home
Chapel with Dr. Ron Cook officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn
Mr. Hooks was born in Brownwood and graduated from Brownwood
High School in 1966. He had lived in Temple for 26 years. He was
a conductor for Santa Fe Railroad for 28 years. He was an Army
veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church
Survivors include his mother, Jerry Hooks of Brownwood; his
wife, Carrol Hooks of Temple; four stepchildren, Duane Greer and
Soundra Aycock, both of Moody, Laura Deeds of Brownwood and Gail
Price of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, David Simpson of Burbank,
Ill.; two sisters, Nancy Craig of Breckenridge and Betty Cox of
Hesperia, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Tommie Lenard Posey
COMANCHE - Tommie Lenard Posey, 67, died Friday at a local
hospital. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Oakwood
Cemetery, directed by Comanche Funeral Home.
Frances Melissa Crafton
CISCO - Frances Melissa Crafton, 94, died Saturday at a local
nursing home. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Breckenridge
Cemetery, directed by Chambers-Wilcox Funeral Directors.
STEPHENVILLE - Oda B. Leatherman, 88, of the Cedar Point community
died Saturday at a Lubbock nursing home. Services will be at 2
p.m. Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel.
BIG SPRING - Ruth A. Griffice, 64, of Arlington and formerly
of Big Spring died Sunday at an Arlington nursing home. Services
are pending with Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
BIG SPRING - Warren Farrow, 77, died Sunday at a San Angelo
hospital. Services are pending with Nalley-Pickle & Welch
ANSON - Andres Garcia, 82, died Sunday in Anson. Services are
pending with Lawrence-Adams Funeral Home. Lavelle Greer
Lavelle Greer, 83, of Abilene died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services are pending with North's Funeral Homes.
