Adella Greene
CLYDE - Adella Greene, 75, of Kansas City, Mo., and formerly
of Clyde, died Friday in a Kansas City nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Clyde Cemetery,
directed by Bailey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Greene was born in Santa Anna and moved to Denver in 1944
from Clyde. She later lived in St. Louis before moving to Kansas
City. She was a Presbyterian and was the widow of Edwin Greene,
who she married in 1946 in Denver.
Survivors include one son, Richard Greene of Kansas City, Mo.;
one daughter, Elizabeth Coyler of Dallas; and one grandchild.
Beaulah May Polnack
SWEETWATER - Beaulah May Polnack, 61, sewing machine operator
for Walls Industries for 27 years until retiring, died Saturday
in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Broadway Baptist Church
with the Revs. Lyndel Hix and Joe Johnson officiating. Burial
will be in Pyron Cemetery, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
Mrs. Polnack was born in Sweetwater, where she graduated from
Newman High School in 1955, and attended Bible College in Springfield,
Mo. She married Matthew Andrew Polnack in 1956 in Sweetwater and
was a member of Broadway Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Sweetwater; one daughter,
Debbie Trotter of Sweetwater; one son, Andy Polnack of Sweetwater;
her father, John Everett Walton Sr. of Sweetwater; four brothers,
Edward Monroe Walton, John Everett Walton Jr. and Ricky Walton,
all of Sweetwater, and Glen Richard Walton of Burnet; one sister,
Nancy Soles of Sweetwater; five grandchildren; and several aunts
and uncles.
Ervin Wayne Compton
WINGATE - Ervin Wayne Compton, 74, lifelong Runnels County
resident, died Saturday at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Northview Cemetery in Winters
with the Rev. Charles Myers officiating, directed by Winters Funeral
Home.
Mr. Compton was born in Ballinger and served with the U.S.
Navy Seabees during World War II. He married Dorothy Colburn in
1946 in Robstown and worked for Winters Manufacturing for 10 years.
He also was a farmer and a custom combiner. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, of Wingate; one daughter, Susan
Brancel of Colleyville; three brothers, Winfred Compton of Kerrville,
Cecil Compton of El Paso and Darrell Compton of Denver City; and
three grandchildren.
Thompson Carter
John Thompson Carter, 86, died Sunday at his home. Services
are pending with Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Augustine Alberto 'Auggie' Cervantes
EASTLAND - Augustine Alberto "Auggie" Cervantes,
10, died Saturday in a Fort Worth hospital. Services are pending
with Knesek & Sons Funeral Home in Wallis.
Donna Land
BIG SPRING - Donna Land, 33, died Saturday. Services are pending
with Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
Clyde Hollingsworth
SWEETWATER - Clyde O. Hollingsworth, 88, of Tucson, Ariz.,
and formerly of Sweetwater, died Saturday in a Tucson care facility.
Services are pending with Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Dalty 'Salty' White
BIG SPRING - Dalty "Salty" White, 83, died Saturday.

Maude Wolfe
CLYDE - Maude Wolfe, 92, of Dallas and formerly of Clyde, died
Saturday in a Dallas nursing home. Services are pending with Bailey
Funeral Home.
J.W. Brown Jr.
SWEETWATER - J.W. Brown Jr., 80, died Sunday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Cate-Spencer & Trent
Funeral Home Chapel.
Jonnie Moon Gordon
STEPHENVILLE - Jonnie Moon Gordon, 64, died Saturday in a local
nursing home. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in
Hannibal Cemetery, directed by Lacy Funeral Home.
Willie Faye Gray Beaty
GOLDTHWAITE - Willie Faye Gray Beaty, 79, of Hurst, died Friday
in a Fort Worth area hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday
in Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home Chapel.
Leola Wood
STEPHENVILLE - Leola H. Wood, 90, died Saturday in a local
hospital. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Stephenville Funeral
Home Chapel.
Lula Mae Huffman Horton
GOLDTHWAITE - Lula Mae Huffman Horton, 85, of Caradan, died
Saturday in Houston. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Stacy-Wilkins
Funeral Home Chapel.
Goldie Hollister
SNYDER - Goldie M. Hollister, 89, died Saturday in a local
hospital after a lengthy illness. Services will be at 1 p.m. today
in First Assembly of God, directed by Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral
Home.
