AHS girls 1st, Wylie 2nd in cross country meet

SAN ANGELO - The Abilene High School girls won the San Angelo Invitational cross country Division I title Saturday, scoring 35 points. San Angelo Central was a distant second with 68 points and Cooper was fifth with 135 points.

Del Rio won the boys crown with 55 points, followed by Lake View with 59 and Abilene High with 92. Cooper was sixth with 130 points.

The Wylie girls took second and the boys fifth in Division II. Katherine Duncan of Roscoe was the individual winner in the girls race.
