Darryl Sydor, Peter Douris sign
DALLAS (AP) - The Dallas Stars on Wednesday re-signed defenseman
Darryl Sydor to a one-year contract and gave a one-year deal to
free agent right wing Peter Douris.
Sydor, 25, led Stars defensemen with 48 points on eight goals
and 40 assists, all career highs. He finished seventh in voting
for the Norris Trophy, given to the NHL's best defenseman.
Douris, 31, led the Milwaukee Admirals of the International
Hockey League with 36 goals last season. His 72 points were second-best
on the squad. He's played in 320 NHL games since 1985-86 with
Winnipeg, Boston and Anaheim. Send a Letter to
