Chambers on IR; Keczmer recalled
DALLAS (AP) - The Dallas Stars on Wednesday placed defenseman
Shawn Chambers on injured reserve and recalled defenseman Dan
Keczmer from the International Hockey League.
Chambers, who broke his left thumb late in the third period
of Monday night's loss in Montreal, is expected to be out for
four weeks. He missed the season's first eight games because of
a fractured hand suffered in the preseason.
Keczmer was with the Stars for the first three games of the
year before being sent to the Michigan K-Wings on Oct. 13. In
seven games, he had three assists and 12 penalty minutes.
He was to join the team Wednesday night in Pittsburgh, where
Dallas concluded its longest road trip of the year.Send
