IF SO, where are they now? Stuffing your piano bench. . .cascading from your guitar case. . .gathering dust on a shelf? PERHAPS it's time to move them. As in, put them to work! THAT could mean asking these questions: Is this song good enough to be published? If so, how do I start? If not, can I make it better? And how? ASK Rock Killough, songwriter/singer and author, formerly with Tree Publishing in Nashville. With a raft of gold and platinum albumns on his walls, he has the credentials to answer such questions with authority. ROCK will be featured in the premier CWC Songwriters' Workshop Saturday, October 27, 9 a.m. to noon, at the Lela Latch Lloyd Memorial Museum in Cisco. (Visit him and learn all about this giant of an artist at www.rockkillough.com.) ALONG with free coffee and donuts you'll receive Rock's book, "Helpful Hints for Aspiring Songwriters" (a $10.95 value). If you'd like one of your songs critiqued, bring a legible copy of the lyrics and sing and play it for Rock. PREREGISTER! --and you can appear, along with Rock, in our 7th Songwriters Showcase, held the same night in the newly renovated auditorium of the Lela Latch Lloyd Museum. SPACE in this informative workshop is limited, so make your reservations now! . . . . . . . Write! . . . . . . . . . . SONGWRITERS SHOWCASE THE 7TH CWC Songwriters Showcase kicks off at 6 p.m. Sat., Oct. 27, at the newly renovated Lela Latch Lloyd Memorial Museum Auditorium. MAIN attraction will be Rock Killough, songwriter/singer and featured speaker in CWC's Songwriters Workshop. IN ADDITION to Workshop participants (see above), and as time permits, other songwriters are invited to entertain. THE SHOWCASE is an opportunity for songwriters to get those songs out of guitar case and into hungering hearts. PREVIOUS shows have been dynamic, fresh, and appealing demonstrations of musical artistry, well worth the time.

ECSHA is taking a breather this summer. Feels good! We had planned to skate once each month, but Great Times is closed for renovation this summer, so we'll wait for the "new and improved" rink to open in August or September. The newsletter will resume in late August.
